Thaïland has been very successful to curb the epidemic, resulting in less than 100 Covid-19 related death in total and no local transmission cases since 25th May 2020. Due to its unique access by sea with enforced Controls upon arrival at the pier, Koh Phangan has been Covid Free the whole time (Only one case detected upon arrival and treated immediately), making it a safe beach destination.
Bliss Villas, our luxury villa resort based on Koh Phangan, is among the earliest hospitality businesses to successfully respond to the challenges of traveling during the COVID-19 era. Koh Samui Airport (code: USM) has resumed flights from May 15th and Bangkok Airways, in conjunction with the Airport, have put in place efficient precautionary measures to ensure a safe, and a relatively seamless travel experience. These measures combined with our commitment to cleanliness, make Bliss Villas and Koh Phangan, the perfect place for a villa vacation.
Naturally our villas lend themselves well to social distancing and our team are on hand to help you with anything you need during your stay with us including arranging private trips & transport. As we are a villa resort, there are no public areas and you will not be in contact with other guests.
Please note that we are 15 minutes away from many hospitals (internationally accredited) where guests will be well taken care of, should there be a concern with suspected Covid-19 or indeed any other medical emergency.
We continue to live by our responsible and caring value which means being consistent with our already high standards around hygiene, sanitization and cleaning. We have listed some of the extra steps taken in addition to these rigorous routines to reflect the advice and guidance of the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health authorities to ensure what we are doing is correct, comprehensive and effective.
Our Enhanced Cleanliness Standards
As a community with wellness at our core, our highest priority is our duty of care to your health, safety and well-being. Ultimately, we will do everything we can to support you in whatever you feel is best for you and your loved ones.
Masks and hand sanitizer
Bliss Villas provides masks and hand sanitizer for self service use for all our guests (including in all villas). Masks are mandatory for all Bliss Villas staff. Our staff also wear gloves when servicing your villa and handles all trash and bins according to specific safety procedures.
Health and Hygiene Manager
Bliss Villas is committed to the cleanliness and safety of our guests and our employees. We have appointed a new Health And Hygiene Manager role, responsible for the implementation of and ongoing execution of our cleanliness commitment.
Rooms are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after every stay. All staff members have received COVID-19-related health and safety training, including correct procedures for wearing masks and personal protective equipment and physical distancing awareness.
We have added new cleaning processes for daily housekeeping service during the stay and after departure, new cleaning products and improved protocols around handling guest items and laundry.
Throughout your stay, you will access only your private Villa (including during Check-in or Check-out) and there are no common / public spaces.
New Safety Procedures
Arrival and Departure
Everyone arriving at our properties has their temperature checked, and all luggage is sanitized when it enters the property. Check-in and Check-out is performed only in presence of one person (A Manager wearing mask and using hand sanitizer).
Bliss Villas checks daily the temperature of all staff, and guests checking in the resort. Please note that most shops in Koh Phangan will perform temperature checks upon entry.
A term that we all have become familiar with in the wake of the global pandemic, and governments all over the world have looked to implement social distancing strategies. At Bliss Villas, social distancing is nothing new : the property’s guests have always benefited from the notion of “so far but yet so close” via Whatsapp or other smartphone applications giving the ability to boost contactless service. In that sense, guests can always stay in touch with our management, and can call them or chat with them and request help or access to on-site services without leaving their Villa. This ensures a strong connection between staff and guests, without the need for physical proximity.
